Granada, a magical city to discover

At the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, between the Darro and Genil rivers, lies one of the most interesting cities in eastern Andalusia. Its impressive Andalusian heritage is complemented by architectural gems from the Renaissance and the most modern facilities of the 21st century.

LA ALHAMBRA

A landmark location

Climbing up to the Alhambra first thing in the morning, known as the eighth wonder of the world and declared a World Heritage Site, is the best thing to do in Granada.
Located at the top of the al-Sabika hill with the Sierra Nevada in the background, this imposing complex of beautiful palaces, gardens and an Andalusian-style fortress was built by order of the Nasrid king Muhammad ben al-Ahmar in 1238. After the Christian reconquest, it went from housing the emir and the court of the Nasrid Kingdom to becoming a Castilian royal residence, undergoing several renovations and extensions.

EL ALBAYCÍN

Magical

The Albaicín, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is the oldest and most charming neighbourhood to visit in Granada.
This neighbourhood, which stretches from the hill of San Miguel to Calle Elvira, is ideal for losing yourself in its labyrinthine streets, where the Arab essence lingers, and discovering its most charming corners.

MIRADOR SAN NICOLAS

Special

Located in the upper part of the Albaicín neighbourhood, the Mirador de San Nicolás is the most popular viewpoint in Granada because it offers the best views of the Alhambra with the snow-capped mountains of the Sierra Nevada in the background.
The best time to visit the viewpoint is just before dusk, so you can sit on the wall and wait for the sun to set while the city lights up.
If it is too crowded, you can go to the Placeta de los Carvajales, which offers excellent views of the Alhambra and the Generalife, or enter the courtyard of the Great Mosque of Granada, which has more peaceful views of the Alhambra.

CALLE NAVAS

Life and Gastronomy

Welcome to Calle Navas in Granada, the city's most popular street for nightlife and gastronomy. If you're looking for a lively atmosphere full of bars and restaurants, you've come to the right place. Calle Navas is known for its wide variety of tapas bars, each with its own specialities and flavours. This street is the perfect place to enjoy authentic local cuisine and immerse yourself in vibrant Spanish culture.
One of the great experiences this neighbourhood offers is visiting one of its famous caves at sunset to enjoy a zambra, a gypsy party where people sing and dance flamenco.

SIERRA NEVADA

Privileged

The Sierra Nevada ski and mountain resort, an essential part of Andalusia's tourist offering and an international benchmark for snow tourism, allows visitors to enjoy an enviable climate while practising sports or contemplating nature, thanks to its privileged location. The southernmost ski resort in Europe offers visitors excellent snow facilities less than two hours from the coast and a few kilometres from the monumental and historic city of Granada. Sierra Nevada provides a wide range of experiences that draw snow sports enthusiasts to its white slopes, illuminated by the southern sun.
